Duck Sauce - Big Bad Wolf [OFFICIAL VIDEO]

Here it is folks, a big summer house tune from Duck Sauce (followup to Barbra Streisand) finally has a video... and it's a strange one. There must have been some sort of narcotics/hallucinogens involved in the creation of this one, it is entertaining though nonetheless. Check it out.

Duck Sauce is an American-Canadian DJ duo consisting of Armand Van Helden and A-Trak. The duo are signed to Fool's Gold Records

DJ King - Frequency Kids - DJ Gave Us Everything Tonight (Transition)(120-129)(Clean)

We'd like to give a big shoutout to DJ King of Crooklyn Clan for using one of our tracks for a video. Video DJ's be sure to grab this. Go check it out at Crooklyn Clan

Halloween Jams

This time of the year brings about a season that has it's very own genre of music... and no I'm not talking about Christmas. Halloween has its own set of hits associated with it, though many of them are older and a little on the "cheesy" side, DJ's the world over rely on remixers to make these tracks a little more current and club friendly. Notorious for solid Halloween remixes are the Anthem Kingz of Crooklyn Clan, Danny Diggz, and The Rock-it Scientists in the past released some great halloween tracks. Be sure to check out the tracks the Frequency Kids just posted this week, at Crack4DJs

Rihanna - Cheers... To The Freakin Weekend

Here we go folks, another free download from the kids. This time it's Rihanna's party drinking tune Cheers's which features a sample from Avril Lavigne's "I'm With You". DJ's I'm sure you're already playing this song, so here's another version of it to add to you aresenal. It's a little more upbeat and features a Jason Derulo beat as well as a sample from The Verve. You're crowd will eat this version up!

Fashion Week - Toronto

As an addition to the last post, this week is fashion in Toronto. Lost of designers, models and fashion shows, but more importantly lost of killer after parties! I'll be at my new residency at Courthouse alongside Guest DJ Mick Boogie, where we'll be playing for the Bench fashion show. Make sure to check it out if you're in the area.

Bench (usually branded as "Bench." with a full stop) is a British clothing brand that is sold worldwide, including in Europe, Canada, andAustralia. The company was founded in Manchester, Britain,[1] and specialises in streetwear.[2]Bench designs and markets its own products.[1] While their t-shirts are their most popular product, Bench also manufactures jeans, jackets, hats, hooded tops, watches and jewellery. A common feature of Bench clothing is the conspicuous incorporation of the brand name - many t-shirts and jackets feature the word 'Bench' written in highly visible letters either across the chest or across the back of the collar.[2]Bench expanded into women's wear in 1998. The range of jackets and tops had the same urban clothing style as the menswear.[2]

New Residency at Courthouse (Toronto)

Just wanted to fill people in on where I can be found. Most recently I picked up a new residency in the city of Toronto at a beautiful venue known as Courthouse. 25' high ceilings, original hardwood floors and four massive fireplaces set the mood and atmosphere to either lounge and relax, or dance the night away.

Any fans from the Toronto (Canada) area now have a chance to hear me play live every saturday, the club is located at 57 Adelaide Street East. Come one, come all.

Feel So Close (Right Here Right Now)

As promised, we would post a selection of our tracks on the blog for free download. So I've gone and made this track available for download on SoundCloud.

"Feel So Close" is a song by Scottish recording artist Calvin Harris from his upcoming third studio album. It was released as the album's second single on 19 August 2011. Harris returns to singing on this song, after previously stating he had quit singing on his own tracks.[1] The song debuted at number two in Ireland, becoming his highest-charting single in the country. In the United Kingdom, the song debuted at number two becoming Harris' sixth solo top 10 single
We went ahead and brought back a classic from Fatboy Slim to mash with this club banger, and also used elements of Robbie Rivera's remix, it goes hard in the club!

Also, be sure to check out our edit of Calvin Harris' more recent hit with Rihanna "We Found Love" available HERE

ROC vs Young Money

Last weekend at the club I had a hypothetical discussion with the promoter there, he asked me who I would I choose if I had to pick only one between Jay-z's camp, and Lil' Wayne's. Like I said, completely hypothetical, and it wasn't at all fueled by the "beef" between the two Carters. To be honest it's a tough call to make, giving up one or the other, no listening to them or playing them for the crowd.

If it were simply between the two bosses (Jay-z and Lil' Wayne) I'd probably choose Jigga, but it gets more complicated when you consider who is on each roster, Jay's being much larger . With ROC there's a pretty wide array of solid artists including:

Kanye West (and everyone on his Good Music label)
Beyonce
Rihanna
Big Sean (huge potential in the future)
J Cole (also massive potential)

It seems like a pretty easy choice looking at those names, but then I have to consider that I'd be giving up Drake and Nicki Minaj... which from a DJ's standpoint would take away some serious ammo (plus being from Toronto, gotta support the homie Drake).

So I pose the question, if it were up to you... who would you choose? Please feel free to leave your choice as a comment.
